Delhi assembly Elections- A Fractured Mandate

Delhi went to polls and gave a fractured mandate.No party was in a position to form a Govt.on its own.

Congress got routed,BJP fell short by 4.And a new political party,AAP, got 28. Eight short of what could have been a simple majority to form the Govt.

Initially they refused to form Govt.with the support of either BJP or Cong. Very rightly so,as they fought the elections on a strong plank of “honesty & clean governance”,which both BJP & Cong.could not provide as both parties are corrupt according to AAP.

In their earlier statements, AAP leaders ruled out any alliance with either of the two.

Then a hurriedly taken decision of going for a referendum, whether AAP should make a Govt.in Delhi or not.What was this referendum all about,could not be understood.They argued that to avert re-election in Delhi,it became necessary to go to the people through a referendum.Then what for the elections.

As if there were no re-elections in India before.We have had re-elections not once but so many times.In a term of 5 years,elections have taken place well before the completion of the complete term.That too is a re-election.What was the hurry.AAP could have gone to the people again through a re-election,emerged triumphant and ruled Delhi on their own and gave the people of Delhi their due, without the support of those, who at one time were untouchables.

We don’t doubt the dignity and integrity of AAP,but referendum has undoubtedly gave a sufficient reason to think as to why “The Haste”,to be in the driver’s seat, with Congress at their back.

They were the 2nd largest party but they never enjoyed the majority.Re-Election could have been an option just to keep speculations at bay.

A transparent and bold way to rule would have put AAP “ON TOP”.

Transfer Of Security Alerts To The States

No matter whether it is Narendra Modi,Manmohan Singh,Susheel Shinde,Nitish kumar or for that matter a Common man.When the central Govt,transfers security alerts to States,it is the prime duty of the executing agencies to see to it that every security measure is in place.

Lapses can take place at all levels.communication is what matters.

I feel proud in congratulating Parvez Rasool,a promising cricketer from KASHMEER,for bowling a magnificent spell, resulting in capturing a wicket, that too of none other than jacques kallis of south africa,in his first IPL match while playing for Pune warriors.

Parvez Rasool can be one of those million openings which will lead,one day, to the ultimate brotherhood and amity among the Kashmeeri youth, and that of the rest of India.

Encroaching on Development

Some say it is the stalemate in parliament which is dangerous for the development of the country.

Some say it is the deep rooted corruption which is bringing the country closer to an unprecedented catastrophe.

Who is right?

I think both.

But a million dollar question, that, did they ( All the political parties,as and when they are in opposition ), never indulge in such immoral and irresponsible activities, as and when they found the “favourable times”for them, still remains unanswered…

Peace Across The Borders

Tolerance is, of course, a powerful factor to maintain peace across the borders.

But tolerance to the extent of” tolerance” sounds ok.

This dastardly committed act of brutality has blasted the bounds of tolerance.

High time for the leadership to take strong cognizance of the happenings and lead the protest to a logical conclusion.

Whole Nation is watching the modus operandi very keenly.

Let us hope Democracy triumphs.

Democratically Elected Bodies In Kashmeer

It is said that “time is the best healer.”Let us hope that timely elected democratic bodies in the state of jammu and kashmeer, and the smooth functioning thereof, shall help in making the atmosphere in the state more codusive for activities which tend towards peace,prosperity,brotherhood and amity.

Democratically elected bodies are the indicators of the fast changing mood of the people of the state.

Motherland Is Calling

Today our community brothers and sisters are performing their sincere duties in the valley,and undoubtedly,in not so very healthy atmosphere, so to say.

But they have decided to devote their precious time, and that too of their prime youth,towards service to the mankind.

Yes, we cannot deny the fact that most of them had to take this bold step for the sake of earning the livelihood in the hard times that exist.But on the whole it can be attributed to their “sweet will” to serve the mankind under whatever the circumstances.

And for God’s sake let us not, at any cost, discourage or disappoint them, just to serve our own vested interests.

It may not sound so good to a particular section of our community, but believe me,and I’m sorry to mention it,they are living in a fool’s paradise.

I think the devoted services,that OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS are rendering in the valley, can pave the way for SOLIDARITY.Because Youth stand for UNITY.

And the day is not far when Kashmeeri Pandits will be back, in their “Motherland”.

Bond Of Brotherhood

There are forces in the valley, who are bent upon breaking the age old bonds of togetherness and mutual tolerance.

These forces have been propagating separatism.

These forces demand plebiscite.

These forces refuse to come in the political mainstream.

These forces tend to divide communities on the basis of colour,caste and creed.

Well, all these things are not in line with the basic concept of unity and solidarity.

To be more precise, I would like to draw the attention of those forces, outside the valley,who too are nurturing the separatist ideology,on the basis of vested interests,without visuilising the broader perspectives of National interest,and ask them to desist from it and preach brotherhood,unity and solidarity.instead of dragging the community towards darkness.

As separatist approach,leads to nothing but darkness.

Kashmeeriat

All those who preach separate Homeland for Kashmeeri community ought to associate themselves with the mainstream national ideology, and make themselves be heard, with dignity and credibility by the masses.

Separatist attitude leads to nowhere,whileas unity and solidarity can open the doors for mutual understanding and age old tradition of “kashmeeriat”, the only binding force to disassociate hatred, among the kashmeeri brethren.
