Nationalism First

I will be the last person to say that any of the communities living in India is LESS or MORE an INDIAN. We are all Indians, for God’s sake.

But, I fail to understand as to why, when BJP speaks about Hindus or Hindutva or hinduism,it is blamed of being communal. And when congress appeases the minority community, in the ways, that suit its political stance, does’nt amount to communism.

Why are these double standards so prevalent in India. Can we ever stop befooling each other at the hands of communal card.It sends wrong signals, the world over.

We need to rise above the politics of communism. After all we are the biggest democracy with unity in diversity. We ought to respect all religions equally.

Let us all work selflessly towards the cause of NATIONALISM. And the essence of our nationalism is “Unity in Diversity”.

Pakistan High Commissioner’s Belligerent Diplomatic Stance

Well, keeping in view the hostile posturing of the Pakistan High Commissioner in India,it is quite proper to ask the High Commissioner to go back.

Well, that is for the Govt. to decide.

Terrorist attacks on Indian people and Institutions have increased.Innocent people are killed with pre-planned terrorist activities.

How can an Indian forget the frightful attack on Parliament on 13/12/2001 and 26/11/2008 Mumbai blasts, killing hundreds of innocent people.

Attack on Parliament was a cowardly act of terrorism to uproot the Indian political nerve center. If the attack would have not been successfully foiled by our brave, strong and witty security personnel,it would have turned into a drastic and fatal catastrophe. But yes India proved its mettle.

Well,Abdul Basit says that meeting Hurriyat leaders is a long time practice and that they have been meeting them always before any high level diplomatic talks between the two countries in the past, and that there was nothing new in it.

But Mr.Basit, that time is changed now.Our new PM has categorically said that either Pakistan will have to talk to India or to the Separatists. It can’t be both.

Moreover how many times have you invited the real representatives of Kashmeeries, the elected representatives of kashmeeries and the other sections of kashmeeri community.

And you say that all parties who have a stake on Kashmeer have to be consulted. How do you presume that Hurriyat represents all these parties.

How long, you think, you could fool the Indian Govt. You have to understand now, that India is no longer ruled by the people who lack decision making capacity.

In fact this unethical practice of meeting the separatists on our soil itself, should have never ever taken place,at the very first instance.but, yes,on account of some inaction in this behalf,on part of our previous Governments, you were enjoying a fertile ground to carry on such Anti-India activities. But yes as I said, that era of inaction on part of the Indian Govt.at the center is over, and a new beginning to Nation building and National security has since started. And it is now time for you to mend your ways of behaving in a very irresponsible and irrational manner.

Mr.Basit, let us not go into the details as to on whose behest you were carrying out these Anti-India practices.but yes let me remind you,if it has slipped your memory, that a foreign diplomat has a limited activity to perform, while enjoying his stay in a particular country. And that is, to simply act in a manner so that it helps strengthening the relations between the two countries. The diplomat, in no way is a mediator.India knows it better as to how it can deal with all this.

So please confine yourself to what has been assigned to you.Your mediation hasn’t been of any help for the last so many years, as you yourself admit that you have been doing it since long,so it is high time you stop indulging in such futile and provocative practices, and leave room for the healthy diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries, which,I am afraid, you have dented so badly through your pretext and sarcastic approach.

And for God’s sake, you talk of stakeholders on kashmeer.Do you even know who the real stakeholders on kashmeer are?

It is the kashmeeri Brahman,Kashmeeri pandit,Kashmeeri Hindu, who is the real stakeholder.

I would suggest you, as you seem to be a learned person, and a polished person too, through your smiles,( as I saw you, while answering the questions of the media personnel,so tactfully ) to go through a very popular book “Rajtarangni” by kalahana. It will definitely enlighten you, on the history of ancient Kashmeer.

And if you have already read it,then you are making a huge mistake in not identifying the real stakeholders on Kashmeer.

For we Kashmeeries, it is “all kashmeer for all Kashmeeries”. And that literally includes every kashmeeri.

Unfriendly Neighbour

It seems Pakistan is hell bent, in not accepting the friendly gesture, India is showing, in so far as the diplomatic policies are concerned.
An unabated spree of violation of ceasefire on the Loc & International border from across the border,is a clear indication of Pakistan’s stubbornness and ill will.
And,now the very fresh unethical diplomatic move on part of Pakistan high commissioner,to meet the hard core separatist leaders of Kashmeer, well ahead of the foreign secretaries meet, scheduled to be held on 25th Aug’2014,at Islamabad, speaks of a willful intention to sabotage the talks and put the whole process of normalization of strained relations between the two countries, in jeopardy.
The step taken by the Govt. of India,to call off the foreign secretaries meet at Islamabad,is well timed and befitting. And this necessary step taken by the Modi Govt.is bound to send very significant and meaningful signals to the Pakistan leadership.
It seems Pakistan is loosing its grip on the activities of the agencies, which are dictating terms to the Govt.of Pakistan, and inadvertently tarnishing its image in the diplomatic circles, the world over.
If Pakistan wants to negotiate across the table, then it has to harden its stand towards its military hierarchy, ISI and the different militant outfits operating on its soil.

And, at the same time understand the sincere posture of India,in bringing peace and tranquility in the region.

Thanks to the decision making approach of PM Modi,Pakistan,it seems, shall begin learning from its mistakes, which have, undoubtedly, put it on edge and also in a state of isolation.

High time for Pakistan to get its act together.

Parliament, Room #5.Tussle to occupy.TMC & TDP at daggers drawn.

It really shook me ,when I heard about the scuffle in the parliament, between TMC and TDP,over a pity issue of,TDP,made to  evacuate room #5, in the parliament premises, thereby making room for TMC, to occupy it.

How ridiculous,Shameful and ungenerous on part of the erring parliamentarians.

I would like to give 5 mantras,to introspect,to those involved in the tussle to occupy room #5.

please for God’s sake;
1.Make room for, smooth running of the parliament business.

2.Make room for, others to learn, how important it is to attend parliament as a duty. With regularity and punctuality,of course.

3.Make room for, making the younger parliamentarians, understand, that Lok Sabha is the “temple of Democracy”,and  not a battle field. And we need to honor it.

4.Make room for, poor people of India, who comprise more than 60% of the total population,to get maximum benefit out of the total business run in the parliament.

5.Make room for, not fighting over pity issues like which room belongs to whom. After all, what is there in a room. You have to serve the nation.you can do it from any room. All rooms are in the parliament premises itself.

Why to fight over a well equipped room in parliament, when you ought to think of our jawans who fight the enemy at Siachen, kutch and uri,in sub zero temp.& snow storms, scorching heat & wilderness of deserts, and dangerous hilly terrains.

This is the example you are going to set for them, instead, boosting their morale up,to fight the enemy.

Come on friends!Time to “retrospect, and Act”.

Prime minister Narinder Modi’s visit to Leh,Kargil 12Aug’2014

I have a tremendous regard for senior journalist Satish Jacob. But, I differ from him, when he says that,PM’s remarks on Pakistan are “irrelevant”.This, he said, while expressing his views, on a TV channel, today.

Well, Mr.Jacob,in his own right, can express his point of view. But I would like to assert that, when the Prime minister tries to bring the neighbors across the negotiating table, to discuss issues,we waste no time in terming this as, “soft approach”,on part of a prime minister, who spoke very hard, when in opposition.

And, when the Prime minister really talks hard, and tries to call a spade a spade, in terms of,the position of our neighbor, having lost the strength, to indulge in a conventional war, thus indulging in a proxy war against India,we call his statement as “irrelevant”.

Then what sort of relevance, do we expect, should our Prime minister, attribute to his statement, while commenting on the position of a neighbour, who is hostile, and homes fundamental elements, responsible for spreading hatred in our country.

Whose army cuts the heads off the body of our valiant jawans.

Whose representatives on various news channels,as panelists utter that,India dare not touch Pakistan. And if we do so, they can rub us off from the world globe. If you are asked to give a befitting reply to this, what would you say,Mr.Jacob.

We,as journalists, can, in no way call a statement of the head of the nation as “irrelevant”.if ,at all,we don’t like the statement,or feel that the timing of such statement is not appropriate,we can put it likewise in different terminology, instead, terming it as “Irrelevant”.That too, when the PM refers to a hostile nation.

Rahul Gandhi – A Political Novice

Well, can someone ridicule parliament and accuse the speaker of being partial, publicly, in front of the media.

While watching Mr.Rahul Gandhi,on TV,I was taken aback, when I saw,how someone, who was taking a nap in the parliament house, during an important discussion, only a few days back, can get so vigourously recharged,so as to come straightaway into the well of parliament house and start yelling.

Mr.Rahul Gandhi,I think, what you said,is a bit contradictory. How can you call,an Institution, which houses 542 elected members,as an Institution, where only one man’s voice is heard. And,that the attitude of the speaker is partial and one-sided.Don’t you feel, that the statement,is somewhat, exaggerated, keeping in view, the sanctity of the house, and, the position of the speaker, of the august house.

Well,if such, would have been the case,do you think, the people of the largest democracy, are dumb, and that, they would let it happen.please understand the power of Indian voter. The latest national election is only a few months old, what happened?Let the new Govt.work.The whole Nation is watching.
Well,I would not suggest you, to set your own house,in order. That is the job of the politicians and your political rivals,to suggest. what,I would suggest to you, very humbly,is that,if at all, you intend to come, into the well of the parliament house, please choose some solid reason,so that you may,not have,to cut a sorry figure.
This time, you decided to come into the well of parliament house, with the issue,”only one man’s voice is heard in parliament and that your voice is not heard”,well,You happen to be the citizen of India, and a proud parliamentarian, you have every right to choose your issues,to disrupt the parliamentary proceedings.I can not even say, that, it is an issue out of a non-issue,as Mr.Jaitly, put it.
But,as Indian citizens,we would,appreciate, a much responsible behavior,in the parliament,by every member.

Freedom Struggle

Mangal Pandey, the first freedom fighter, who fought against the aggression, oppression and suppression of British, in 1857, ignited the flame of freedom in hearts of millions.

Though the struggle against the East India Company had already gained momentum, during last mughal emperor, Bahadur shah Zafar’s rule, in1847.Mangal pandey turned rebellion against the British forces, of which he was a part,in1857.

Mangal pandey, the pioneer of Indian freedom struggle, will always be held in high esteem. We salute his revolutionary incarnation.

Indian Politician

Being a politician is not a big deal nowadays, if you come from a well to do family. No matter what your qualifications are,and what moral character you bear. You may not even be popular among your voters. But you are still, all set, to hit the jackpot, in the name of your party.

We,as common Indian citizens, would like to have a much better system and solid basis, required, to be eligible for entering the Indian political arena. Some foolproof modus operandi, which would keep the criminals and anti social elements, far from, even reaching the political threshold. But anyways, let us leave it to the political giants, to decide for themselves, as to who is fit, and who is not.

The only thing that we want, as prudent, responsible and enlightened citizens of India, is that the politicians, don’t let the pride of the country, be at stake,by virtue of their misdoings and unlawful activities.

Politics is not the gateway or a free pass, to a dirty world,(as the politicians have made it so), for minting money, amassing wealth and making fortunes,by indulging in corrupt & unethical practices. It,in fact, is a beginning of a new era, in your life.Where you make a sincere pledge to serve the nation with utmost prudence, skillfulness, and allegiance. With true faith in the constitution of India.

A common man votes you to power. He votes you to serve him better. But,in turn, what does he get?Betrayal…

Let the politics be given, a new name, a new direction, a new meaning,so that the fate of a common man changes and the country gets a fresh breather. It is up to the politicians. They can do it.

Diverging from an established route, and combating die- hard habits, is quite an uphill task, but politicians have to do it. Because it is”RIPE TIME”now, that they put their act together.

We don’t say, that all politicians are, the same. But those, who are, they will have to change. As India is changing, and changing fast.

THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT,AND ACKNOWLEDGES IT TOO!

My views on Budget July 2014

A budget, which sets a direction, and a strong commitment, to take India out of a deep rooted economic instability and insecurity.

A budget which assures fiscal consolidation through creation of fiscal space.

A budget which is more reform-oriented.

A budget which eases the individual tax payer despite tremendous financial constraints.

A budget which promises growth in almost all segments.

A budget which atleast tries to explore possibilities of reaching out to middle class by increasing tax exemption limits.

This and much more.

While assessing the approach of the finance minister, we have to keep in mind the budgetary constraints under which he had to formulate a budget of such a magnitude, that too, within a period of three months, of assuming office. We at Solidarity…. Youth for unity, rate this budget as directional, growth-oriented, pro-people, reformative, and above all a courageous budget.

Kudos!
