Today our community brothers and sisters are performing their sincere duties in the valley,and undoubtedly,in not so very healthy atmosphere, so to say.

But they have decided to devote their precious time, and that too of their prime youth,towards service to the mankind.

Yes, we cannot deny the fact that most of them had to take this bold step for the sake of earning the livelihood in the hard times that exist.But on the whole it can be attributed to their “sweet will” to serve the mankind under whatever the circumstances.

And for God’s sake let us not, at any cost, discourage or disappoint them, just to serve our own vested interests.

It may not sound so good to a particular section of our community, but believe me,and I’m sorry to mention it,they are living in a fool’s paradise.

I think the devoted services,that OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS are rendering in the valley, can pave the way for SOLIDARITY.Because Youth stand for UNITY.

And the day is not far when Kashmeeri Pandits will be back, in their “Motherland”.

Bond Of Brotherhood

There are forces in the valley, who are bent upon breaking the age old bonds of togetherness and mutual tolerance.

These forces have been propagating separatism.

These forces demand plebiscite.

These forces refuse to come in the political mainstream.

These forces tend to divide communities on the basis of colour,caste and creed.

Well, all these things are not in line with the basic concept of unity and solidarity.

To be more precise, I would like to draw the attention of those forces, outside the valley,who too are nurturing the separatist ideology,on the basis of vested interests,without visuilising the broader perspectives of National interest,and ask them to desist from it and preach brotherhood,unity and solidarity.instead of dragging the community towards darkness.

As separatist approach,leads to nothing but darkness.

All those who preach separate Homeland for Kashmeeri community ought to associate themselves with the mainstream national ideology, and make themselves be heard, with dignity and credibility by the masses.

Separatist attitude leads to nowhere,whileas unity and solidarity can open the doors for mutual understanding and age old tradition of “kashmeeriat”, the only binding force to disassociate hatred, among the kashmeeri brethren.

I think much has been lost and there is hardly any room for staking anything else.

High time for the YOUTH to consolidate and come forward with a sincere effort to resolve everything and pave the way for a prosperous kashmeeri community.

Past is the guide so let us learn from this,present is the action so let us act and future is the achievement so let us achieve the lost dignity and honour and show the world that “YOUTH CAN”.

Very recently I had a proud privilege of meeting a 65 year old NRI settled in UK, in a marriage party.

Engineer by profession and author of various books on metro and tunneling,is still very energetic and a wonderful person.His son is a renowned interventional cardiologist in USA.

Well, all this was very important to share with you just to tell you that the old man’s grandson who is hardly 4 yr old,not only understands kashmeeri but makes a sincere effort to speak as well with the help of his parents and grand parents .

Isn’t that something we need to acknowledge with pride.Hats off to these true kashmeeries. God bless them and their families.

I salute their sincere service to the community.

Monkey Menace on J&K National Highway

180px-Cebus_albifrons_editMonkeys, on Jammu Udhampur highway,is a common feature nowadays.we dragged, these nature loving creatures,from their natural habitat,to roads.
we played with their living pattern,their natural instincts,their ecological adaptation,and made them,completely dependent, on the sheer mercy of mankind.
While travelling,in buses,private vehicles and other modes of transport,we feed them with different types of food items,and think, that we are doing a great service to the nature,instead,if we think logically, on this grave issue,we are actually, doing a disservice.
We have ruined, the very basic purpose of wild life conservation,by destroying;firstly,their natural habitat;and secondly;their food cycle.
Some people feed them,on the basis of,some kind of, a religious myth.How far they are religiously correct,is a million dollar question.
But,whatever the case may be,we are grossly responsible for the destruction of this mammalian species.So many monkeys get crushed on the road,and are killed,on day to day basis.what social or religious service,can this be termed as?
I, had once,met the, then chief wild life warden,jammu,Mr.Lalit Sharma,who,himself, was aware of this monkey menace,created by the mankind,and assured every possible measures to be taken in this regard.He assured that, he would organize camps,where they could educate the people,from all walks of life,about the unethical feeding of monkeys on the roads.He said, that his department has already put sign boards,requesting people,not to feed monkeys,and that, they would increase the number of such sign boards,in the near future.
But,having said all this,I still feel, that it is the prime duty of every responsible citizen,to work towards,safeguarding these monkeys,who,we need,very direly,to preserve the ecological balance in the nature.
“A good step towards NATURE,will make us,walk FREE.”
